New American Initiative
To assist community members in gaining citizenship, KRCC
participates in the New Americans Initiative. In
collaboration with two other Korean American organizations
and the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee
Rights, KRCC coordinates outreach efforts, citizenship
application workshops, and walk-in appointments. KRCC
produced the “Citizenship Handbook” in Korean to help
community members prepare for their citizenship test and
also offers mock interviews.
